FAQS

Q: Do you install?
A: Regency Railings does not provide installations. We are a manufacturer of hand forged iron components only.
Q: Who installs your components?
A: Installation is provided by a local contractor of your choice. If you are working with a builder, he or she will most likely know someone capable of the installation. If you are contracting yourself, the most likely installers will be ornamental iron fabricators, welders or stair companies.
Q: Do you provide handrails?
A: Regency Railings provides only the hand forged decorative iron components. We do not supply anything else that may be required to complete the staircase. Your builder or installer will have choices and suppliers to provide the handrail and the other necessary materials.
Q: What finishes do you offer?
A: Regency Railings does not provide a finished product. Most components are shipped primed black and the finish is then applied after fabricating into a railing. You can choose to apply a paint, powder coated or faux finish.
Q: Do you make anything except stair railings?
A: Regency Railings designs all components with stair railing as the major objective. However, our components are frequently used in gates, doors, windows, and furniture. The limitation of their use is your imagination.
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: Regency Railings ships on receipt of payment in full. We will ship COD., but shipping COD will incur an additional charge of 3% to 5% of the total invoice dollars charged by the trucking company.
Q: What is you warranty?
A: Regency Railings guarantees all components to be free of major defects when shipped. Any damage caused during shipping must be claimed by you with the trucking company. Installation warranty must be discussed with your installer.
Q: Do your designs pass building codes?
A: Regency Railings creates all designs to pass the 4″ sphere code when installed using the suggested layouts. We also create all designs to pass the 2003 IRC minimum and maximum handrail heights. However, it is up to the installer to familiarize himself with all local building codes and provide an installation that will assure passage of those codes.
Q: What is the lead time?
A: Regency Railings has a distribution network across North America with stocking distribution in many areas. We maintain a large inventory to support distribution at our home office in Dallas, TX. We try to maintain an inventory level to always have what you need when you need it. However, in most cases, if we are temporally out of stock on a particular item it will be available within 2 to 3 weeks.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Regency Railings will allow immediate returns (2 days from receipt) without a reason or restock charge. Returns after 2 days will incur a 25% restock charge. No returns will be accepted after 30 days for any reason. All returns require written authorization from Regency Railings.
